Default Apr splitter on ap1

So I've searched here and searched google with no luck. Does anyone have any pics of an APR splitter with the oem ap1 lip? I'm looking to purchase one from go tuning. My other question is if it's possible to mount without the two posts they come with.

You can mount them anyway you want. There basically just a big sheet of carbon, you have to drill your own holes and make you own hardware, so mount it however you want. I don't run the support rods with mine. I've been up to about 120mph this way with no ill effects. Mine is mounted on a ap2 with no lip so I have no pics for you, but it will work just fine.

Uhhhh if you go to the homepage of s2ki there's a yellow AP1 running that APR splitter.

Good to hear you don't need the support rods. Just hate to drill holes on the bumper and have them rubbing up against the bumper. Maybe I can find a different way to support it from the inside. Anyone else with some input?

Steguis has tthe APR carbon splitter on his car. I have an aluminum splitter with AP1 OEM lip which works/mounts the same as APR.

I do use the support rods, but they go through the grill into the bumper beam, they are not into the bumper.

Do you have any pictures you could post or pm me how you mounted yours along with the support rods? I just ordered one and would like to install the support rods into the bumper beam.

This picture should show all you need. The female ends of the support rods can be seen hanging below the bumper beam. With APR you will get shorter rods that won't reach this far, these were purchased elsewhere (I can't tell you because i did not source them unfortunately!). APR also will not supply the frame you see attaching my splitter to the bumper, you just get a sheet of carbon fiber form APR

See splitter attachment and rods here

You mind sharing specs of how long that frame is? Evasive is installing mine soon and would like to show them this to see if they can make me that instead of drilling on the bumper to support it

There was a member on S2ki that made them on the side, he was local and he hooked me up. I'm eternally grateful because I have a unique and very functional setup.

Unfortunately, I don't have the means to get the specs for you. It's buried under the bumper cover and I do not have the time to do that. When you pull your bumper cover simply measure the dimensions of the bumper beam and the frame it mounts to.
