Default iPod/iPhone connector

Hopefully picking up my s2000 next weekend and I know I has a standard radio/headunit/cd player. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to connect in a iPod connector so that I can use my phone for music. This may have been covered before but I'm stuck on my phone in an airport so searching isn't possible.

Is there a specific connector for the s2000? Does it have an Aux in so that it could make use of this? I don't really use CDs anymore

I've got one, the make is 'x-car link'. The device plugs into the CD-changer port on the back of the stereo. You put the radio on cd-changer disk one, and it works with the ipod. The dash controls work and control the ipod as well, though really the only useful button is the one to skip a track.

I had one by 'Connect 2' from ebay when I had an OEM HU. It too plugged into the CD changer connection on the rear of the HU.

Cheap and did the job, so worth a look. ....

Thanks for the replys, what's the best way to get the HU out? It looks like it would foul on the gear stick looking at interior shots of the car?

Thanks for that, i was reading through the comments and noticed that one guy said that the video has another step for AP2s before what happens in the video, is that correct?

If you have a MY04+(no AP2's in the UK)then you have to remove the gearstick surround as the little tray in front of the gearstick prevents the stereo cover from coming out. Not entirely sure what the best way for removing that is, but I'm sure someone with an AP04+ will be along shortly with the info.

An AP04? Lol.^

On 04's Onwards; 14mm open ended spanner to remove nut at bottom of gearknob (remember clockwise on the thread to send the nut downwards!) and just lever and pull the centre console upwards from the back a little step at a time, to disengage each row of poppers.

Reach under, unplug the connectors to the three switches and pull the handbrake up nice and high to lift the cover over.
