If you blew a motor, wouldn't you want to know why it blew first before you replaced it?
what reasons do you believe would cause a mount to break?

I have yet to break a stock mount and I'm making 800 whp on same mounts the car came with in 02. 16k miles later and no problems. Although I don't dig race the car and that, along with other abuse I believe is what causes the broken mounts. Why not just look into a torque stabilizer to just limit hard hits to the mounts with engine torquing and limit engine movement? the stabilizers work like a suspension shock.

Agreed. I never said the motor doesn't move. But in our application, that doesn't matter.

Abuse. Same reason stock diffs and trannies break. You can drive a high hp s2k on the street without breaking the drivetrain, but you can't abuse it like you would a built one.

Let's put it this way. There are people on this forum that have broken the stock diff with stock power and called it "weak". Relatively speaking to other options, yes it is...but they never fess up to what they were doing when the diff popped. They're doing 8k clutch drops on street tires and wondering why shits breaking! Anything will break with abuse...v160's, 8.8 diffs...when it comes to stuff like that, why be concerned about the motor moving a little bit? All that vibrations gotta go somewhere...

All I'm trying to do is steer people away from another useless mod. These mounts are becoming the new 3mm HG

Motor mounts aren't pointless, they improve motor response and torque

did you copy and paste that from the description of a site selling them? on some cars, they are great. i remember my jetta had shit ass stock squishy mounts. popped in the stiffer ones, motor stopped flopping around, vibration was minimal to non existent. i did them to stop the motor from smacking the fire wall. if you think you are going to see a percievable difference in motor response and tq then you are on some good shit my friend and i want some.

the only thing that comes of motor mounts on an s2k is sweet sweet vibrations that are felt throughout the cabin. the stiffer the mounts, the quicker your girlfriend gets off in the passenger seat.
