brake lights wont turn off

Default brake lights wont turn off

Anyone get this problem before? Just started happening now. Fluid isn't low.

Most common prob is on the upper part of brake pedal there is a rubber piece that rests against the brake switch when your press and release the brake. Look for plastic on the floor...without the plastic at the top of the pedal the switch stays closed.

Yeah that's it. Just go to Honda and get another one or get a bolt with a washer and nut.
If you push the brake switch your lights will shut off.

well the battery died lol, you think i can get it at an autozone or advanced? i shouldnt have to replace the whole brake switch light correct?

The plastic piece is an oem part. They always have it in stock since its a common thing to break. Leave your brake switch alone don't worry about that. When you get your battery taken care of push in the switch and you will see the lights turn off. If you don't want To go to Honda just get a bolt with a washer and a nut that fits and you will be good forever unless the brake switch craps out.

got the part at honda it was 3 bucks. gonna start up the car tomorrow and try it out, thanks for the help... just noticed, you're located in dade county, as in miami, me too, maybe ill see you at a meet sometime. thanks again
