I've been doing some research on motor oil for the s2k. The guy I bought my s2k from ran mobile 1 since he bought it new in 05. I hear that its not the best choice in oil for the s2. Any recommendations? This car will be turbocharged by spring time next year as well.

 

Motul, Amsoil, and Brad Penn are a few of the higher end favorites from what I've seen.

Oil is a highly debated topic with no clear winners. Your best bet is to read up on each and make your own decision.

 

I run Mobil 1 full synthetic for my 2006 Ap2. 24k miles.

Plenty of threads already on oil. AP1s tend to burn M1 moreso. I've been running M1 5w30 in my 07 AP2 with no noticeable loss, and this is with regular spirited VTEC driving.

I dont think it really matters, but I use either Castrol 0w30 or Mobil1 0w40 < thats on ALL my cars.
