Default AS2K Dragon Road Trip 2017

Lodging:Will be up to you to pick your place to stay during this road trip. I would suggest that you stay close to the starting location for each day’s drive.

Starting location:
Bojangles Famous Chicken n’ Biscuits
1119 Dellwood Road
Waynesville, NC 28786

Some rules for everyone to know before the trip
  1. When driving through a city or town we drive the posted speed limits.
  2. In many areas there is not cell phone coverage. Two way radios are very helpful.
  3. You should have a full tank of gas before each drive in the morning.
  4. If you are unsure of where should be in the line of cars slower cars are usually towards the back of the pack. We will have a leader and tail gunner with each drive.
  5. Always have your headlights light on during a drive. Makes it earlier to see who’s in the group after we get started. Start as a group and stop as a group.
  6. You will be required to show up 30 minutes before each drive. If you are going to eat breakfast at Bojangle’s please show up earlier we don’t need people waiting. Just makes it better sense people.
  7. Good brakes and tires are a must.
  8. Would like to have you to leave the same way you came up there. In one piece.
  9. During each drive we will stop for lunch somewhere on the route.
  10. Would be nice to seat down as a group each evening for dinner and talk about the day’s drive.
  11. Hope to see you at the road trip.
  12. This is not a race we will be driving on public roads.

With the details up would like to know how's still interested. Also when you make any lodging arrangements please let others know the hotel you will be staying at. For the NA (Northern Alabama) guys if you decided to go up Wednesday we could meet around Gadsden on I-59 and I would gladly take you on some great mountain road on the way up to Waynesville. Just let me know people. Hope to see everyone do this road trip. Later BD

Count me in. These are all great roads. There are plenty of places (motels, hotels, cabin rentals) in the Waynesville and Maggie Valley area. There are some great local places to eat in the area as well.

I would suggest dinner one night at Granny's Kitchen. It is a favorite of the Carolina crew when we did drives in the area. Link below.

I have my reservations at my cabin in Maggie.

I am still interested. Will be in in the same area each night (one hotel for the duration)?
