Thanks again for the comments everyone!
I ran into some issues over the weekend mounting my Pole Positions with Buddy Club rails. I played with the seat position on the side brackets for a while trying to figure out what angle and height I wanted the seats at. I realized I was going to have to cut the rear brackets so I could mount the seat in the 3rd hole (from the bottom) and not have the bracket hit the harness opening in the side of the seat. So I cut the brackets yesterday, rounded and smoothed out the edges and I painted them last night.
THE PROBLEM: When the drivers side seat is mounted in the car I can slide it forward but I can't slide it back any further and I still have about 6 inches between the back of the seat and the back panel in the car. It turns out the rail is hitting the inside rear mounting bolt head. I tried loosening all of the bolts and centering that bolt so the rail could slide over it, but I had no luck so I removed the bolt all together (not driving the car currently) and it slides back freely without any issues. So I am currently looking to find another bolt with a shorter/narrower head.
My question... I know the AP1 and AP2 passenger rails are different. However, I was under the impression the AP1 and AP2 drivers side rails were the same. The rail that is giving me an issue right now is an AP1 rail and I am wondering if there is a subtle difference in the rails that is causing this issue?
Thanks Eric! I'm not 100% sure I will be summer IA this year... I just accepted a new job and it might be tough for me to take off work so soon after starting the new job. If I can get the days off then I will definitely be there though!
You know I am still trying to decide on the exhaust... I have still been thinking about your offer a lot but I am just not sure if I want to stay dual or go single with the car.
I should be down in VA beach in May for Sumo Speeds Springfest... if you still have the setup by then and I haven't already jumped on it then I might have to while I am down there! haha
