The big day finally came!
I want to preface this by saying if you're not a master at jigsaw puzzles and an extremely patient person, just pay somebody to do what I've done. This job sucked and I seriously almost gave up multiple times.
You'll see more of this later
And now to the most fun part of my last two days...
Soft top re-install and full interior swap!
I should have taken a before picture with the interior fully swapped, but I got carried away. So here's the best "before" picture I have.
A few minutes later
Sooooooooo much better
Soft top frame and motors installed
It works!! Was actually kind of a pain to get the frame, motor cover, and hardtop brackets to line up perfectly. I had to redo this like 20 times before it all sat flush.
Soft top sorta kinda on the frame and most of the car scattered around the shop
End of day 1... Total time so far - 7 working hours. 11am to 6pm.
Day 2 I got right to work. From 3pm to 9pm about I worked straight on and just tried to get it over with. I've never wanted to give up on anything so badly.
Doing this job alone is terrible. I had to FaceTime with a friend a few times since he knows way more about this than I do... And I was kinda freeballing it from the start. Nevertheless, I DID IT. FINALLY FINISHED.
Disregard how dirty everything is. I finished so late last night and didn't have time to clean. That'll be done today or tomorrow.
I think I forgot about the custom decal I made for the Charlotte S2000 community - or really anybody who wants one. Here's a picture.
Car has been clay barred and waxed with about 7,000,000 layers of Carnauba wax haha.
