Fantastic. I love the way you document everything.

Solid increase in torque across the curve.

+1 on the PWJDM intake. I had the same issues with the hood fitment and hood latch situation. Great progress. Whats your plan as far as alignments go?

I made some modification on the PWJDM intake, while it might be not the solution for you, it's an option for sure.
You can read further down to find out.

Alignment was done last week.
Uploaded the spec at the end of the page

Update:
-Revisiting couple of loose ends.

PWJDM Intake revisited.
Thanks to Kerry Coughlin and Jon Pomrenke for the idea.
In STR class, factory intake position needs to be maintained so Ram air inlet part of the PWJDM is illegal.
So I went ahead and cut up my $700 intake! fun fun fun!

Sanded and ready to cut the bottom end to clear the factory air guide.
(Unfortunately, I already cut up my original air guide to fit the intake but this will be replaced soon)

Finished pics
I REALLY like this look much better than before.
Much larger air inlet under the hood and clears the hood with factory latch location.
I just need to replace the factory air guide but that will be done whenever I remove my bumper.

Revisiting Exhaust:
I had fitment issue with this exhaust.
It's physically impossible to center this exhaust due to pipe clearance with the rear subframe.
These two spots are the problem.

So... pretty much any higher or to the right of the exhaust cut out will make the exhaust hit the rear subframe.... boo~~

Here is the fix to non-rattling/hitting EVS 70-SSP.

Hanger closest to the canister/cutout
Used the 3 hole rubber hanger from OEM exhaust (hangs the exhaust a bit lower than normal 2 hole rubber).

Hanger on the rear of the canister.
This one cannot be used to hang but it's needed to the keep the exhaust to come any closer to the left of the cutout.
Without this rubber hanger, exhaust tip will hang really close to the left of the cutout.

It's not perfect by any means but close as I can get it to center without hitting anything underneath.

Update:
-Autocross

Well... I was originally scheduled to goto Texas this Sunday (today) but that got cancelled 2 days ago.
I really wanted to join national to see how people run in STR but because of my work schedule, I wasn't able to register.

I recently finished my STR setup and I really wanted to Autocross so I ended up going an event at Middle Georgia SCCA region.
I was extremely fortunate today, because of the national event, seems like all top dogs in this region (MGASCCA) went to national tour event at dixie

I ended up bringing home 2x trophy.
1 for fastest time of the day (raw and pax) and also for touring class win.
This is my first time winning an event, so I am pretty pumped!
(thanks to people getting tied up at the national)

I started with 44.5(RUN1) and ended up with 43.871 (RUN8) as my best run.
I messed up pretty bad on 2 elements on RUN8 and still was fastest run, I probably left out good amount of time on the course.
Hoping to get better!

Don't mind me screaming some random stuff on the video, I'm just being a normal asian dude.....

Update:
-Revisiting EMU install

Just finished mounting Greddy E-Manage Ultimate.
I was looking at the Karcepts Installation location, but I didn't feel like placing the EMU behind the front seat.

Mounted the EMU behind the plastic panel on the passenger side dash.
I'm sure this location helps with the weight distribution and offset the driver's weight. I might need to do alignment again
Also moved the shift beeper next to the EMU for easier adjustments.

Unit can be seen from the bottom and cooling fins exposed, also there is plenty of room around the EMU as well.

Another bonus is there is enough room on the bottom to plug in/out USB-B cable w/o opening the cover.
Cover closes flush as you can see in the picture.

I ran with Peachtree BMWCCA @ Atlanta Motor Speedway!

I went in with the mindset of being super aggressive with my very first run and it backfired at me.
End results were great BUT.... I only had 1 clean run all day and that was the very last run.
I was trying too hard and had to tone it down on my last run to put down a clean run.
It was super nerve-racking going into my last run of the day with 4 DNFs and 1 dirty run (+1).

Overdriving hurt me all day long.... lesson learned... (maybe)
