it's going to appreciate in value if you keep it fairly stock, wouldn't be surprised if you flipped it for 30k in a couple of years.

My heavy modding days have been long gone. I added a magnaflow catback. I'm purchasing a stock oem wing for it next week. The previous owner told me the car is still on the stock timing belt. A 13 yr old belt doesn't sit well with me. So next week I have an appointment for a timing belt change along with all new fluids. Next yr I'm adding the ets air filter kit and a ets catted test pipe. Getting tuned on stock boost. That will be it for mods. That seems pretty bare bones.

I think a downpipe and custom tune with higher boost should still be super reliable, just don't launch the car too much. Just make sure your tuner tunes for partial throttle and not just WOT, and you log / monitor your engine's air fuel ratio. Downpipe / tune will transform the car

Congratulations on finding a clean sample of a BBY Evo...have lots of fun in the coming colder months, these cars really wake up in terms of power in colder weather

Nice! Always loved the Evo 7-9 - much better looking than the 10, IMO. Great color too
