They do a 6 rotor too, they fired it up a week or two ago....

But a quad starts at about £30k, so slightly out of budget...

but like I say, the problem is, once you open it, really the only sensible thing to do is to refresh all the seals/o-rings, etc, which is a grand just in parts.
See, the Zetec cost us £450, we already had throttle bodies and have had a stainless exhaust made for us bringing the total to less than a grand for a completely unstressed stock engine with around 200bhp.
The Renesis is a nice idea but I get the feeling that we'd be spending a couple of grand at least, possibly more (let's face it, the Zetec exhaust isn't going to fit) for a less reliable motor. The Ginetta was supposed to be our 'budget' car after the annual walletectomy that the Clio became.

Maybe 200bhp is enough

Maybe!
Maybe you'll be a bit more lucky than us with engines (probably not building as much heat either as you won't be holding gears at low speeds whilst you slog through a forest!), so you could be okay, but I'd say budget at least £1500 for a half decent motor (get it compression checked before you buy it too), and coils/leads.

If you want more info just message me anyway, happy to help!
No, I don't think your exhaust manifold will fit.....

Is there anyone on here that breaks car/sells engines?
Could do with a decent motor, all the ebay ones come with the gearbox and air con and all that crap we don't want anyway.

Had a look around the traders section but didn't spot anyone?

Yeah, it's a complete shed built by 2 spanners with a selection of hammers and a welder...

But, it makes you grin like a monkey in a banana plantation.

I'll put some more pictures up later, have a video instead:

We have built even more mental stuff for people with rather more spare change than us though....
