Yakitori Glad

Japanese BBQ. Very fun atmosphere.
Everything on the menu is $3.90!
Pitcher of beer is $12.

Located on Kapahulu Avenue next to Pizza Hut.
Street parking. I recommend going before 6pm or after 9pm this place gets crowded.
I know where I'm goin this weekend...
yup going Friday for Pauhana!

Here's a few of my favorites

Yuzu Hawaii (Ala Moana Hotel)
Japanese
I recommend the Spicy Sukiyaki Udon. Noodles are fresh, made to order.
Lobster Bisque is good too.
They use fresh local ingredients.

Tokkuri Tei (on Kapahulu the old Sam Choy's)
Japanese
Pricey but the sushi is awesome. Ask for Ryuji, very creative with his sushi, he'll blow your mind.

678 (Kapiolani Blvd. across from the Convention Center)
Korean yakiniku
Food chain restaurant from Korea.
Try the Bi Bim Bap.

The Alley (AIea Bowl)
Local style cuisine
Get the Oxtail Soup and the Pumpkin Crunch for dessert.

Pho One (Kapiolani Blvd.)
Vietnamese
Their Spicy Beef Soup is the best I've ever had. Pho is very good too.
