QUOTE
I dont know if youve seen my thread about a recent CEL coming on in my car and my speedo stopping working intermittently. I decided to do a bit of digging myself and found that the Speedo stops working evertime I turn on the A/C. The only thing I could put it down to is the yellow box I installed. Sure enough everytime the A/C is switched on the box loses its negative side of the supply. I've permanantly grounded the negative (black wire) from the yellow box to the chassis now but on double and triple checking the wiring its exactly the same as the photo you sent me.

This fixes the problem.

i know this is an old thread, but thanks everyone for the input - especially Paper Lawyer for the pics - i managed to install the modifry yellow jacket in a rhd car without any cries for help smile.gif

now all i need to do is to calibrate it .. what is the best way guys? compare odo readings with another car on a known trip?
i prefer checking the odo rather than the speedo, as i know that the speedo might have a little error from factory due to speed cameras etc ..

I'll be referring to this thread shortly as well. Will fit mine with no correction factor ahead of doing the diff, hopefully I can figure it out from all this...

In terms of calibrating it, there are some settings for different diff ratio's on the instructions, and then I guess you can fine tune using a sat nav gps as a speedo.

I take it Yours is rhd? In that case you have to open up the passenger side only.. Then remove the ecu bolts and the blue connector from behind it.. The rest you can see from the pics above and modifry's instructions.
Let me know if u have any questions
