From J8 could either go down Reigate Hill, sure there must be decent pub around there, or go other way, towards Epsom

Alternatively, J9 could either head towards Chessington, there is a large pub not far along from the junction and long before the speed camera, or go other way, on A24 towards Box Hill, again quite a few pubs around, with gardens for Scrappydoo to play in.

Can anyone recommend any particualr pubs in these areas?

I like the Ide hill choice as I'm 5 mins away! But that's not surprising. Isn't Zero setting up a meet on the 29th June or something in Surrey/Sussex?

Del.

Another venue could be the Flight Tavern at Gatwick. Good parking, good food, outside tables and lots and lots of aeroplanes to watch! Mr Barratt can, Im sure, give us a commentary on how the pilots are doing ie 'too much flap' etc biggrin.gif

Have we settled on the Flight Tavern?

If so can someone give me some idea of where it is?

(I really must get out more as I never know where any of these meets are)

The address for the Scoobydoo 41st Birthday drinkies is the Flight Tavern, Charlwood Rd, RH11 0QA, Crawley,RH11

On streetmap the link is http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=52...p=newsearch.srf

Its a Brewers pub I think and so contains the usual menu options for those that want some nosh. If I get an idea of numbers then I'll book a table.

Hope you can all make else I'll look very stupid!

Suggest a meeting time of 19:30 ish on Thursday 26th June 2003. There is good parking, lots of planes and good ales!
