HAllett Track Rental
SEPTEMBER 29th.
Yes, I know it's a weekday. Yes, I know it's 5 hours away.
Plan accordingly.
I'm looking into setting up a Hallett lapping day once the weather cools off. Cost will be in the ~$100/person range. I seriously doubt we can get it any cheaper, but I'll let you know. Figure $100 for now. Basically, the flat rate is around $1200 divided by the number of drivers.
Who would be interested in running? There would be 5 cars on the track at a time, and you'll get AT LEAST 5 20 minute runs, if not more. Once we have a firm count, we can figure out the actual details (direction, time on course, etc).
I am capping the entry list at 20 to keep the size reasonable. PM or email me if you're interested or have any other questions. Once I get the contract signed (later this week), I'll be accepting PAYPAL payments.
1) Helmets are available for rent
2) 'verts are allowed
3) Corner workers and ambulance will be on-site
I ran with a few S2k folks at the National Prelude Meet last month and we had a blast. Just thought I'd return the favor and invite you fellas!
EdIt- I can't believe I left off the date.

I had a blast as well. You were really running strong out there!
I'd be interested pending the actual date...better chance for me to attend if you schedule on the Friday before or the Monday after an OU home game

I don't want to throw a wrench in your plans but NASA Texas is having an event at Hallett Sept 17-18. For HPDE it is $200 for both days or $125 for just one day. There will also be the typical race groups and I hear the USTCC championship race will be that weekend as well. I'll be out there racing in Honda Challenge in my Prelude.

why only 5 cars on the track at a time?
The goal of this event was to give people a chance to run for cheap. With five cars on track, you won't have to worry nearly as much about traffic (passing will be by point and ONLY on the three straights)
