I would just go with a 225/45/17 and a 255/40/17 setup since it won't hurt to have more tire up front compared to the pizza cutters the car comes with.

screams understeer if you ask me. The ap2 was setup a bit conservative with a stagger that is geared to making the car understeer. I would prefer to close that gap a bit more with less of a stagger. my ap2 understeered a lot with stock sizes, i dumped them quickly for z1 starspec 225 front and 255 rear and never looked back. Actually i find i still get a little understeer i might try 235 front next time.

Well good luck and im interested to hear how these tires work out. I see so many re11 posts out there but they are all "going to get..." "just bought but have not installed yet..." the anticipation is killing me.

Sure you do. Different alignment settings will change the dynamic of the car in a big way. You can run a non-stagger setup and tune the car to understeer just by changing the alignment. Or, you can run a stagger and tune the car to produce more oversteer. The tunability of the stock suspension isn't bad, in my opinion.

I recently installed 215/255 RE-01R's on my stock AP2 aligned to factory specs. It has a very neutral steering feel. I will stay with these sizes, unless I go back to RE-050's someday.

can a 225/265 fit on a stock setup? i was thinking of trying it, or maybe 235 in front.
