Default Ohio Drives

This will be a thread to post up Ohio area roads for people to reference and use either on their own or to organize group drives.

Ohio Route 26

Description: State route winding through south east Ohio. Includes portions through farming, some small towns and wooded National park. One end is in middle of nowhere, and second end is Marietta, OH. Can be extended with County Road 26 which is northern extension of road.

Drive Time: ~2 hours.

Road Condition: 2016 - Overall good. There are some patches laid down but nothing to be concerned about.

Cautions: These are country roads. There can be bikers, slow traffic and local problems with the roads. After rain/storms roads can be covered in runoff.

North Point of drive: 57496 New Castle Road, Jerusalem, OH 43747 https://goo.gl/maps/F6A5mnpcQ8r
South Point of drive: 1354 Green St, Marietta, OH 45750 https://goo.gl/maps/ccWePp5rRZy

County Road 26

Description: Country route winding through south east Ohio. Runs through farming, and a small town. North end is just off I70 and souther end is in middle of nowhere. Usually run at beginning of State Route 26 to extend length of drive.

Drive Time: 45-60 minutes.

Road Condition: 2016 - Poor. Portion of road was deconstructed. Remainder requires maintenance to fill large pot holes.

Cautions: These are country roads. There can be bikers, slow traffic and local problems with the roads. After rain/storms roads can be covered in runoff. A couple corners are blind and over crests.

Description: Car and Driver test loop near Hocking Hills State Park. It was fantastic! Its about 15 miles long and only two right turn stop signs to slow you down. The loop is mapped out in the link below.

Road Condition: Many of the roads are freshly redone! Great condition, especially for Ohio.

Cautions: Not much run off on either side of the street. Tourist area, but not too traffic heavy (look out for minivans)
