Default FS: 2005 Track Car / Time Trials Car (NASA TTC Currently)

Name: Austin Cabot
Location: Atlanta, GA
Contact:770.855.2285 (text is best) or email austin@slipangleshow.com
Price: $13.5k obo

After selling my truck and trailer and 2nd set of wheels and two sets of Hoosiers this week, I think I am finally ready to list the S2000 up for sale. An upcoming move to Chicago may leave me with no space for any of my track stuff anyways.

The car is dialed in for my driving style and has the potential to run very fast lap times in its current trim. With a few power mods and some weight loss (the car, not me, jerks), you could have a nationally competitive TTC car. This car ALMOST won the 2012 National Championship in NASA TTC class. Right now, Im just gauging interest and figuring out pricing, but will give you guys a quick run down of the build:

2005 S2000 Track Car
LOCATED IN ATLANTA, GA
-118k miles or so (not sure exact mileage)
-2nd owner, owned since 2008 - Carfax says 4, but that's due to me titling in GA originally, then TX, then IL.
-Absolutely rust free. Never street driven when I lived in Chicago and always stored indoors.
-Clean IL title in hand
-Currently setup to run in NASA TTC on Hoosier A6s
-Made 211whp on ProFunction Dyno, fall 2012. Only 8 events on car since dyno session.
-Current weight with 3/4 tank of fuel and 190lb driver + gear = 2810lbs.

Exterior
-OEM hardtop with Izzys bolt in mounts, custom black plastidipped
-Custom Tri-Colore paint job.
-Speed dimples in rear quarters on both sides.
-Carbon Fiber rear wing with 255mm riser.
-Challenge 30mm+ Wide Fenders (white)
-Amuse Replica Hood (black)
-Custom headlight delete. Still has wiring and mounts (have original headlights, but they are pretty beat up).
-17x9 +42 REAL Rota DPF (not rota knock-offs)
-(2) 255/40/17 Direzza Z2
-(2) 255/40/17 Hankook RS3

Suspension & Brakes
-DMP (Deft Motion Products) Souro Single Adjustable Coilovers (same as Challenge Comp+)
-Challenge Stainless Brake Lines
-Project Mu Club Racer Pads
-Challenge Offset Upper Control Arm Bushings

Engine Mods
-K&N Drop in Filter
-Berk 63.5mm Test Pipe

Safety & Interior
-Hard Dog Roll Bar - Single Diagonal, with lowered rear harness bar
-Recaro Pro Racer Hans from GT3 Cup car
-Recaro Pole Position Passenger Seat
-Buddy Club rails both driver side and pass side
-Willians Harnesses
-Quick Release hub with Nardi Classic Wheel
-5 panel wink mirror
-Stripped gutted, but retained A/C.
-Wiring still in place for stereo
-Modifry dash bracket with AiM solo mount

Misc
-Huge stack of records since ownership in 2008 (41k miles)
-Numerous spares available

Lap Times
-1:42.1 at Gingerman long on old pavement and 225 Hoosier A6
-1:43.0 on 255 RA1s at Gingerman long (old pavement)
-1:35.0 on Autobahn South, 225 Hoosier A6
-2:48.0 Autobahn Full on 255 ****** ***** in 2012
-1:39.0 at Road Atlanta on 225 Hoosier A6, March 2015
-1:32.x at Atlanta Motorsports Park, Hoosier A6, first time to track. Potential for sub 1:30 with good alignment and more seat time.
-1:36.9 Mid Ohio (pro course) on 225 Hoosier A6 (Potential for 1:36.4 with more focused driver)

Included in sale will be some of my time instructing you on how to drive the car quickly on track and also access to me for setup questions for your first few events (whatever that's worth - not much LOL).

May consider trades for motorcycles (600cc Supersport, Track bikes, etc), miatas, and FWD hondas, PLUS CASH.

Im sure Im forgetting something, but message me for more info. No price set yet. Don't really need to get rid of, but haven't been using very much.

Thanks,

Austin

Is that seat equivalent to the regular or XL Hans? Did you have to trim the console at all?

Regular seat. There is not center console trim, so no need to trim anything. Its skinnier than a pole position, so likely no need to trim even with the stuff there. Tons of room between the seat and the console.

That's what the "custom speed dimples" are. Two light impacts, but impacts none-the-less and both where about 3 weeks apart (rough month for me)

- April 2012, Tire Wall in the rain, outside of track tire wall Turn 1 Mid-Ohio
- May 2012, Tire Wall top of turn 1 Road Atlanta.

Frame is still completely straight, all superficial/cosmetic only. I have not done any bodywork on the car since the incidents, and lap times have only come down since then, so I know the car has no functional issues due to the impacts.

Same dimensions as the Profi SPG?

Sorry this is a little off topic here...

I have the exact same Pro HANS from GT3 cup car in my S with BC seat rail, does your top left side of the HALO rub the hardtop?
Been having this issue since I put the seat in and have not been able to solve it...
