Smile Bilstein PSS9 part numbers

Can anyone help:

I bought a set, or so I thought. A box arrived today - yaay! but with only the fronts in there. So hopefully there's a second box on it's way.

What's worrying me more is that the numbers on the shocks are: BM5-6872-H0, whereas the S2000 kit is supposedly GM5-8865-HO. I've looked on google and Bilstein's application guide and can't find any mention of the parts I have anywhere, but I notice the S2000 only has one entry whereas most other cars have part numbers for front and rear. So I'm wondering if these really are the correct ones and the 8865 number is for the whole kit? They do have the right mounts, and as far as I can tell look the right size.

Can anyone who has a set confirm what part numbers were on them?

Thanks.

I wondered that, but they have the damper adjuster (and it turns and clicks) which the PSS doesn't have.

Joy!

Much searching and trying to read German, and I found a fitting guide that confirms that BM5-6872 is the rear damper part, and 6870/6871 are the fronts (why are they different?).

http://www.dvsegmbh.info/PDF/einbau/12007/...WM4-Y529A00.PDF

The question now is do I go fit just the rears whilst I have the time and hope the fronts turn up on Monday. Hmmm.

Thanks for looking.

Does the unit have adjustment's for both rebound and compression? The PSS9 system has both separate adjustment's for both compression and rebound.

I think maybe they mean a total of 9 adjustment's for compression and rebound, and not 9 adjustment's for compression and 9 adjustment's for rebound.

That means that you do indeed have the PSS9 units.

Case closed Columbo.

The front shock body is probably the same left to right. The rear shocks are a totally different piece, different size, different stroke. It makes some sense that each part would have a different number but the front and back pieces would match.

I bought a used set of PSS9s (said to be used for 5k miles). There doesn't seem to be any leaks or anything but I did notice the front passenger side coilover adjustment knobs dont click at all. All the other 3 corners make the adjusting clicking noise when turning the dial but the front passenger side doesn't. I hope the guy didn't sell it for this reason. Anyone know if this is a sign of wear or abuse?
