haltech? AEM?
Hi,
So I been looking for an ECU to get my bolt on MY05 tuned. Read a lot and it seemed like the AEM was the way to go. Right before ordering it I talked to the tuner and he said that AEM are pretty bad and that HALTECH is easier to tune and a lot better overall. I don't know what to believe anymore
Help me please. What ECU is the best for a MY05? I'll be going SC/Turbo in a year or two but bolt-on for right now. Would prefer plug and play instead of installing components in the engine or any of that.

I have an '06 and use the Hondata FlashPro so have no direct experience but I've seen convincing evidence the Haltech Platinum Pro is a direct plug-n-play ECU for the AP1 engines. Uses all the existing sensors, etc. Not sure how it handles forced induction but if your tuner recommends it for this application he can probably fit it too. Your bolt-ons are probably easily handled by the OEM ECU right now.

I went with AEM infinity and found a tuner who specialized in AEM infinity. I have no complaints. I am sure either one will work great for you.
If you want the tuner your talking about then go with his recommendation.
