TCT? Valve Adjustment? Knocking Rods?
Sorry for probably posting up duplicates of the same request from others but I am having an issue where it sounds like the TCT needs replacing but reading through the forums and listening to countless youtube "S2000 Engine Noise" I don't know where the issue is.

I took it to Motorsport Techniques here in Hayward Ca. asked them to see what was wrong, they were not able to find the issue and stated that it might be a valve adjustment. So I looked up valve adjustment. Great! the ticking noise is valve adjust or TCT which I can manage to do. But the issue i brought it in was for the sputtering noise, it seems like it lost power #1 and then the sputtering sound it makes when you press the gas(video above). That sound is not there when it's idle only in gear and most of the TCT and valve adjustments are when its idle.
Engine mods:
AP2 Transmission
87.25mm Mahle 11.71:1 pistons
Inline pro connecting rods
ACL rod bearings w/ OEM main bearings
Has anyone had this issue or heard the same sound it is making when you press on the gas? I'm hoping is not a huge problem.

I worked on a car that sounded like TCT at first. Turned out to be spun rod and all cam holder bolts loose. Compression check is a good first check and a worthy skill to learn.
