Default Turbo exhaust question AP2

So I'm considering going turbo this year and have been trying to piece together accessories for the setup. In reality I'd love the oem canisters with a custom 3" turbo back, but unsure if that would work or how it would sound. I emailed Jason at Schmuck Built and also going to email John at LHT, but it seems quite pricey for their quality custom exhausts. I'd love to keep the dual outlets and run 3". Anyone have some input on which setup to consider? Or if custom, what mufflers, dimensions, etc I would need?

i know Asura had a nice piece but nearly impossible to find... worst case I guess I would consider the Berk 3" single or HKS 75mm single...

Expectation:
Ptuning Kit w/GT3076 on 93 oct looking to hit around 425-450whp tuned on Flashpro. Recirc dump tube.

Thanks

Id go full aftermarket if youre thinking about an expensive custom 3" into oem canisters. Why spend all that money just to bottleneck at the canisters?
i have a buddy running oem catback on his sc setup and all you hear is the turbo spooling haha. And it backfires like crazy. But it only made 360whp and this is a v2 kraftwerks kit. Im guessing the exhaust is probably holding it back a good 20whp at least.

not sure if you meant you hear the blower spinning up since you mentioned s/c...

and when i meant OEM canisters, i would assume they would need to be gutted... but the OEM look is what i would want. more subtle and doest scream "hey I'm turbo" lol

I would do 3" single pipe with one resonator and either 3" or 2.5" duals straight through oval mufflers. Any exhaust shop should be able to do this.

If you buy aftermarket you will have to chop and weld a flange to meet downpipe anyways.

I gutted mine and used 2.5" perforated tubing through the middle. 2.5" is the largest I would go with unmodified, oem tips.

It isn't on the car anymore, but it was very quiet.

yea ima keep researching this and collecting peoples info of custom exhaust they have used... but one quote for the custom dual 3" was $1295... not looking to spend that much on an exhaust if i can have it done locally for half of that...

A good 3" Mandrel bent tubing done fair with your preferences of dual exhaust and looking "good" out the back will cost 3/4 of that quote. Id say for the most part you'll save $400 dollars (done locally) and quality differing would be my concern. you know schmuck built and LHT are gonna send out something done well with there name on it. its all trade offs, which im sure you know and are considering.
Any cheaper you would have to either go with smaller piping kit, or buy the stuff you want/need and find a friend that can do the welding, that will be the cheapest.

I THINK that when ptuning designed that kit, it was intended to be used with a stock s2000 exhaust. Seeing that your target power goals are not insane, I am tempted to say you can hit those goals with the factory system in place. It might not sound LOUD as you want but i think it can be done.

If you try to use the stock canisters with a turbo then the turbo will probably spool up all sluggish and not hit the same kind of boost numbers as with a straight-through larger diameter exhaust. With a supercharger you can more or less get away with the stock exhaust since the supercharger spools the same either way.

If I were you I would get the quietest 3" single exhaust that you can find for the best flow.
