have you looked carefully at the windshield frame, with the glass out. Check to see if there's a metal burr, part of the metal that is raised unusually, or is the frame itself slightly warped? If the windshield sits on anything like that it'll cause a slight stress, which then makes it easy to get cracks when you hit curbs/gators

for the record, I'm on my 3rd windshield. However all cracks are from stones tossed by other cars (cough, spec Miata's, cough)

Why are you behind Miatas?

honestly i haven't. in my defense, they all seem to start from different places, but i will the next time i have it out, i think my current ones been cracked for over a year atm. So long over due. I've been getting safelite to warranty them as installer error, but i dont have the patience to spend another day in that place.

yes, passing them. We have had some tracks where they inverse start the lightning group. Others where I lap them. Last time was at Road America during a qualifying session where I was coming around to lap them

i had mine replaced by them with no issues (except they freaked out cause I had no side windows, and they use an arm that suctions to the side window to allow single installer). They've also done our AER/Chump car E30, without issue. Not defending them, just guessing eventually you'd get an installer that'd do it right.

I'm just guessing it's prob something with or within the frame

Original glass was replaced after 60k street miles + ~80 days on track. No cracks but it was pitted enough to make visibility poor any time the sun was low in the sky. Safelite replacement cracked in the first session out and has been getting progressively worse. I'll be surprised if it passes annual tech in Jan.

2008 arrived beginning 2010. ON my 5th windshield.
All are from rock chips and cracks.
Probably had 10+ rock impacts fixed with the UV epoxy.

Probably 60/40 in favor of track occurrences vs street.

Took several rocks to the windshield today during 4 sessions: no new chips. Merging onto the freeway after leaving gave me a nice 1" star crack in the lower center.

wonder if it would be a good idea for everyone to run splash guards in rear? sounds like it would save some windshields
