Default R888 and RS-3 Tire Life

I'm currently considering picking up an S2000 for daily and track duty (hoping for an AP2, but a decent one will be hard to find for my budget) and trying to get some research done to weigh the costs versus some other cars I'm considering. I'm currently in HPDE 2 with NASA, and planning to move up to HPDE 3 at the first or second weekend I attend this year and moving to HPDE 4/TT by the end of the year. I plan to run a set of AP2 wheels and tires set up for track use only (regardless of AP1 or AP2). At a minimum I need to get through the year on one set of tires, and wouldn't mind having some use out of them for one or two weekends the following year. I plan on being on track 3-6 weekends this year, most likely 3 or 4. I'm currently considering running a 100TW like the R888 or R888R or a 200TW like the RS-3 or RS-4 (long as it stays lasting like steel and isn't an autocross focused compound). I'm basically trying to see if I can get away with running a harder compound for two years and save some money, or if I'm not going to see a substantial difference in life and should just go with a better tire that I should plan on throwing away after one year.

From what I've read, under track use tires wear pretty evenly front and rear regardless of track use on these cars even when staggered, correct?

Will the R888, R888R, or maybe NT01 last me the whole season with the amount events I plan to run?

I assume the RS-3 or RS-4 will have no problem getting through one season, could they last two?

RS3s have lasted me a solid 6 weekends and still have 4/32s left. Will be flipping them and using as rain tires.

My 255 RS-3's have lasted ~9 autocrosses, 2 track weekends, and a 2k mile road trip and still have a bunch of life left. I'm hoping they last 2017 but we'll see. Track weekends were only HPDE 1 so speeds are not like what you'll see in HPDE 3 so they will likely wear out sooner.

Sounds like two seasons on them might be do-able. Will probably go with the RS-3' or RS-4's depending on availability, unless someone has some compelling data that says otherwise about their life.

I guess that all depends on how you define a season...4-5 track weekends or 12-13+?

the rs3 will last u a year for mild- light trackers. Nto1 u will blow by maybe 6 months. R888 under a year. This really depends how conservative u r of the tire when on track. If ur daily the car then I recommend the rs3 or rs4. If they come out.

Ive daily'd RS3's for over a year and a half(3 sets) I have 3 track days and almost 7,000 miles of daily driving on my current ones. I have another track day in Feb and after that theyre done. I havent flipped them but have fairly even wear so I would only get about a month or two daily driving out of them but white knuckles in the rain. They might be good for another trackday but I wont risk driving them up there. My next tire will be the Firestone Firehawks for daily and a set of nt01's for track.

3-6 weekends, likely only 3 or 4 this year. Was buried somewhere in my op.
