S2000 last production year? 2002?
a friend told me 2002 is the last production year for S2000? is that true? anybody heard something like that?
if so, what's the replacement for S2000? something with iVTEC?
the power of S2000's engine seems like already the limit of the a NA 2.0L DOHC VTEC engine.

Highly doubt it. This has been discussed many times. 2001 was supposed to be the last production year...No one here sees honda dropping the S2k any time soon.
Dealers tend to say "[insert current year here] will be the last production year," but they lie.

This is but one of the many ruses a dealer will use to get you to buy a car today; I think I've heard them all (Hell, I even used a few of them myself when I sold cars a few years back.).

Seriously, a little common sense should tell anyone that the Honda S2000 is here to stay until sales start to fall off dramatically.

Why stop when you have a good thing going? The car is still technically a limited production so it will always have that appeal but the more they make it the more readily available parts will be when I have to restore mine in 30 years.

They increased the number imported to the US this year from 5k to 7k. Why in the hell would they cancel the production of a car that is popular enough to increase the production by 40% from one year to the next.
