Perhaps the "off-road excursion" damaged the spacer such that it won't stay in place or stressed it such that it finally popped out.

zoomkat - that is actually the one corner that didn't go offroad in the offroad excursion. I think it just naturally worked loose with time & compression.

pyro - my understanding is that they are installed for shipping. Probably to allow tying the car down without compressing the suspension too much. It is a problem because of how it throws off your suspension balance more than anything, though I've heard of peopel having much larger concerns.

I found 4 of them on my car at 58k. Quite ridiculous.

[QUOTE=Habitforming,Sep 8 2008, 10:54 PM] if you look at the picture of my suspension (first post), there is a black rubber piece at the back of the frame, or the inboard side of the spring.

It's good that you found them but not seeing them is definately unexcusable considering how many times you must have washed the car and admittingly have been under your car.

It only gets better from here....

You would only notice that if you've driven a lot in other s2ks, wouldn't you? If mine is the only s2k that I've ever driven, how would I know if it wasn't exactly as it was supposed to be?

I'm going to check mine when I get home.
