32 inches will not clear. You will have to create a U bend. I tried but it did work.

I mocked everything up, and where I will be connecting from the test pipe and routing the pipe back, 32" will work just fine. I'm going to try to make mine adjustable from 30-34" or 28-34", and probably using one of the driveshaft loop bolts to mount a hanger. On a side note, I took the car on a ~30 minute highway drive yesterday and the drone with this HKS made my ears ring. Looking forward to eliminating it...hopefully getting it done this week.

Update: making the pipe adjustable just won't work. It's too thick and my pipe expander won't touch it. So I settled on right around 34" to start, and I can trim off more if that doesn't fit the bill. Figured it'd be better to start longer since the higher temp of exhaust gases would result in the need for a longer pipe as opposed to a shorter one.

That being said, everything is finished, minus welding. Should have this finished and installed by tomorrow evening after my clutch install. I'll start a new thread with results once everything is complete.

I've used this race muffler on a couple of cars(V8) and a V6 that had a lot of drone when at cruising speed. One was also just as loud(or louder) inside as it was outside the car. This race muffler took away most of the drone and it took the edge of the exhaust. What it did not do was change the tone of the exhaust, so if you like the tone of your exhaust this is the first one I'd try. With nothing to burn out the tone and db's will not change over time like it can with a muffler that has packing that will burn out over time. But if you put it on it will lower the db's by around 4 to 6 db and should cut most of the drone.

If your exhaust still has a lot of drone try the Moroso, mount it as far forward as possible.

Welp, it worked. Overall length from the radius of the bend is 34.5", so figure around 36-36.5" with the bend itself.

I went on the longer side, given that it's mounted on the test pipe and subjected to higher exhaust gas temps. It's a much more noticeable db reduction once the car is warmed up, which is awesome.

There is some slight drone in the 3000-3200 range, but nothing after that. This took my exhaust from unbearable to livable.

These were on different roads, but both taken at 3400RPM in 6th gear.

I'd call it a success. If I had to do it again, I'd probably try it with 2.5" pipe instead of 2". But, I'm happy!

Im not an NVH expert or know much of sound waves etc, but something I still don't get is that everyone says a massively long resonator tube is required (25"+), but the one fitted to the OEM exhaust is tiny in comparison.
Car is being supercharged next week and fitting my Skunk2 exhaust back on to allow air to escape more freely (70/60 pipes instead of current HKS system which is 60/50mm pipes).
Going to try and reduce the drone as the Skunk2 is way to high on drone for any long driving enjoyment.
Will start by making something similar in length to the OEM and hope that reduces drone.

That's not the only resonator tube, the other one is hidden inside the muffler.

Each muffler has one as well.

Reminds me of old school Volkswagens where they would put 10 resonators of various lengths on one exhaust just to get the right exhaust note.
