Anyone know where I can find post with instructions on how to grind down valve spring compressor tool...mine doesn't fit well. I saw post a couple of days ago and thought I had book marked it but no dice. Thank you all in advance.

I'm in the process of swapping my AP1 Intake retainers for the AP2 retainers and keepers. I've completed both intake valves for CYL #1 and I'm not liking the looks of how my keepers are set. It appears that there is a slight gap and thought that they would touch on both sides of the radius. As you can see the retainers are holding so maybe this is right. I'm posting pics to get some input.

They're fine.....there will always be a gap, or two gaps if you get them exactly 180 degrees from each other. No issues there...

Damn this is a good thread. Well, I've done a mech overrev on my AP1 about 4-5 times after I first bought it. That was about 30,000 miles ago. I'm gonna go to my first track day in October at Buttonwillow.
I'd like to inspect my retainers, or actually just look for the movement of the keepers like Billman250 said, but it's my daily driver, I've never done this before, and I'm afraid I won't be able to tell, or I'll screw something up and then not be able to drive it to work.
So...anyone wanna help? Maybe we can do a "group" inspection? I'm willing to go anywhere in SoCal.
