Have a guy that will sell me a complete f22 out of an 05 with 120,000 miles that spun a rod bearing. He will take $550 for it, I'm thinking of getting it. Figured i would get some expert opinions.

If it really is complete, with intake manifold and all... the intake, cylinderhead, altenator and everything is worth more than 550.

There is a good change that the crankshaft is toast with that spun bearing. But if not, hey, even better. Sounds like a good deal to me. I'd buy it, even if I don't need it

Ya it's compete, everything but wiring harness. I'm going to get it just to have it like you said. Worst case is I never do anything with it and just sell it for what i paid.

I would take it apart, check the crank... If it's any good, sell it. Sell the head, intake, everything. Make soms bucks this way, or save it somewhere for when your engine fails.

I don't even know what any of it is worth lol, guess i have some research to do

I do know looking on ebay they are 3 to 4 grand, but that's without the possible crank problem this one has

Well i picked it up. ended up getting the trans, engine, wiring harness for $900

Going to pull it apart this weekend to check everything out. Probably rebuild the head and port it a bit, check how bad the valve seats are blended into the bowls and clean those up, and port match the intake manifold. Check the cylinders, and bottom end out as well.
