I spent a good 2.5 hours this afternoon doing leaves. I have probably 45 hours of leaf cleanup in already for the Black Locus, Elm, Cherry, White Oak, and Shake Back Hickory. They were just the ones in our yard; I didn't mention the one's in the woods behind us or in the neighbor's yard which always blow into mine. At least our Dogwoods are small. BUT, we still have two large Norway Maples, that are just now turning color, and two huge Black Oaks to go. How about you?

We have ten plus trees in the back yard. Patty use to rack leaves all fall but I refuse to rack. I mulch them with my Honda lawn mower. It may take several passes but it is so much better than racking.

Sounds like a lot of work you have on your hands. Ive got a big leaf maple in my back yard which douches my deck, patio and lawn in a serious way. I can get away with losing much of it in a compost area with the help of back pack blower when its dry enough, but not all.

I'm with Scoots on this. I mulch the leaves in the yard with my Honda lawn mower. I do blow the leaves in the driveway into neat rows and use my leaf vacuum to suck them up! No raking for me!
But in spite of doing the above twice already, the maples and the oaks in the woods behind us are just taunting me. Don't expect them to quit falling until later in the month.

I got home today to find that most of the trees have dropped their leaves so I guess I have something to do this weekend.

I keep my grass cut short and hope for days like today with 30 mph winds to blow the fallen leaves away. Most of the leaves have fallen from the trees here near North Pole NY.

We've spent the last two Saturdays blowing, sweeping and raking the leaves and now it looks as if we didn't do anything. Luckily, its supposed to be windy tomorrow so we can't do the leaves, but I'm sure we'll be out on Sunday.

We live on 1.8 acres of wooded land. 10 months out of the year I love our trees, two months, not so much. But we have two leaf blowers so my son and I use them and Liz drives the garden tractor with the sweeper attached. All in all, it takes about 4 hours each Saturday for about 4 Saturdays.

We've got about an acre of grassed area but nestled into the woods so we are totally tree lined.
I wouldn't even bother to try to count how many.
I guess the upside is we don't have to bag our leaves and drag them somewhere just put 'em back into the woods..
The shear quantity of leaves eliminates any concept of mulching.

yeah, I originally got them for flying but I now use them mowing the lawn and blowing leaves as well.
Newegg lists them new although through another vendor.
battery life is pretty good too.
