Thanks for the response to this. I did just check, but still receive the following:

  1. You have included 8 images in your message. You are limited to using 5 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the BB code [img] tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.
  2. Your signature cannot be longer than 500 characters excluding BB code markup.
  3. Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 5 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines.
My signature code (for what you see below) seems to display on two lines, but the URLs exceed the 500 character limit, in addition to the image number limit still seeming to be set at 5.

I know it is minor, but could the restrictions be lifted a bit and then we can see if signatures become a problem?

My apologies for the inconvenience. I just sent you a Private Message to help you get back into your original account.

Not a problem, I raised the character limit for you. Please let me know if you're still having the issue.

Thanks Jason,
I received the PM but it seems I can not reply back yet because I am a new member on this account.

Whoops, sorry. I'll send you a follow-up PM with details on how to contact me outside the site.

[QUOTE=IB Jason;24111138]I
Can you please share the image URL you're specifically trying to post? As soon as the image uploader window appears, you should be able to paste an image URL into that top text field without any issue, but it's possible that something in the URL you're using may be confusing our software.

/QUOTE]
Doesn't matter what the URL is.... when you try and past it into Paste or Picture URL nothing shows up.

Have tried it in Chrome and Firefox....

Do inline images require a .jpg extension to show up in the thread without needing to click a link? I've tried posting an image to no avail and I guess the new (crappy) software doesn't handle anything but direct links to images? The photo sharing services I use don't provide direct links to the image..

Thanks - I tried to remove one image from the current sig then save, and I get the following:

  1. You have included 7 images in your message. You are limited to using 5 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

So still doesn't appear to be correct..

Just sent you a PM to help figure it out.

Can you provide a few examples anyway? So far the URLs I've tested on my end work fine, but it's certainly possible there's a bug that's preventing other ones from properly pasting. The examples will help us isolate the problem faster.

Generally speaking, yes, the URL needs to include an image file extension to be uploaded (jpg, gif, png, etc.). However, we've tried to accommodate some major sites that hide the file extensions. As I asked Lovetodrive2000, can you please provide a sample URL you've had issues with when you tried to paste it?

Sorry for all the back and forth. I made some adjustments, so please give it one more try.
