For the local people in SoCal. Good deal on Living Social.
Help a Brotha out while you're at it.
You don't have to be a Hollywood insider to know that star power starts with arriving in style. Today's 70%-off deal from Delux Image puts the breaks on A-list exclusivity and gives every car the opportunity to look red-carpet ready: $44 gets you the Hollywood Special, a package that includes an exterior clay application, wax, and polish; an interior vacuum and wipe down; a cleanse and dressing of the tires and rims; an inside and outside window cleaning; and a trim reconditioning (regularly $145). This Newport Beach cast of trained professionals has worked with cars, trucks, and SUVs throughout Southern California, so you can trust them to get your car ready for its close-up. Grab today's deal and let your car enjoy the celebrity treatment.

Went to Ballade Motorsports today and had the pleasure of meeting Alex and Mike. Both are upstanding guys. Brought the Honda Fit in to have some work done and was out in no time.

To post up an easily accessible fantastic alignment shop in OC, I would like to recommend Firestone in Laguna Hills, CA (Laguna Hills Mall)
Store # 650145
24196 Laguna Hills Mall
Laguna Hills, CA 92653-3613
(949) 581-4700
M-F: 8:00am-7:00pm
Sa: 7:00am-6:00pm
Su: 9:00am-5:00pm
I just so happened to take my car there for the first time last year.
Customer service is really great, friendly staff and no pretentious BS being thrown around.
An older gentleman named Miguel opted to work on my car, as we all know its not the run-of-the-mill automobile like what is typically brought in.
I was very pleased on his work and was very knowledgeable about the s2k; he stated he's worked on quite a few in that shop and many people
specifically go see him with sports cars and lifted trucks.
He'll do custom alignment specs and will give you his opinion on he can do to fit your needs.
I've been back recently, and requested to have Miguel work on my car again - no problem and same excellent service all around.
No dings on my car, no scratches, etc. Everything was in order and professional.
I'd highly recommend this shop/Miguel since we can't all take a day off from work and travel X amount of miles to see an alignment specialist.
Just a heads up and a review from a pleasantly surprised customer

So this place was in Arcadia and it's called Arcadia Ultimate Automotive. I wanted to post this review since one of the reasons I went there was through a search and recommendation by someone else on this forum. Can't say I had the best experience.
Basically needed to do the 60k service, and gave them a call. They quote me $400 bucks and I'm thinking it's priced way to high for an independent shop since the dealer quoted me $390. They end up saying that without the cabin filter, it would be $300. We all the cabin filter change is a joke, so I agree that it's not needed and I'd be saving $100 bucks.
I bring the car in, and they also give me a sheet that lists all the things covered in the 60k service. Half way through the day, Jeff calls me to tell me that servicing the rear diff wasn't apart of the quote, and that it'd be an extra $40 bucks. Obviously I want it, but since he said it's not part of the 60k I trust him and assume it's not.
After I get home I look at the owner's manual for my car and that is apart of the 60k service, and in the sheet he gave me it's listed as well to be apart of the 60k. The next morning when I pick up the car and ask him about it, he says that it wasn't included in the original quote. At that point I'm feeling like I got a bait and switch here, especially because I thought I was saving $100 bucks. He tells me that I still saved $50 bucks and that I should be happy.
Another crappy thing was that my car came back with a lot of black smudges on it, with an extra "smudge ring" on the hood (probably from some dirty bottle sitting on my car). Seriously... what the f. My car isn't a coaster for your bottles. On top of the fact that if I went to the dealer they probably would've washed my car and not left it more dirty than when I brought it in.
At the end of the day, I do still believe that Jeff does good work. But man, that guy has horrible people skills and I don't think I can handle going there again.

just wondering why this isn't stickied in the main southern california forum and inside the socal swap meet? I don't think people realize to go into swap meet to find feedback on service.

I do not post frequently, so when I do, I try to make it count. This post it to tout the services of West End Alignment in Gardena, CA. These guys are the real deal and you can NOT find anyone better in the greater LA area!
I have to say, I was incredibly pleased with the work they did, with how personable the staff was, and just the whole danged thing. I can not possibly think of a single bad thing to say other than that I was embarassed when I found out they don't take plastic for payment. In an extremely rare moment, I had cash on me to cover the cost, but holy cow I turned every shade of red and said, "Oh s!!t!" when he said they are cash or check only. But he was very cool about it and he would have sent me off to an ATM if I had needed to do that.
The shop is neat, clean and very professional. Yes, they have a lot of toys stored there (go karts, mini bikes, dirt bikes, jet skis). But no, you don't feel like it's a dumping ground whatsoever.
Now, as far as the work on my car: we talked and he got all of the details about how I drive my car and what I was looking to accomplish. I explained I'm a canyon driver who tracks the car maybe twice a year. Told him it isn't my daily driver and its sole purpose in life is to put a smile on my face every other weekend and the odd weekday when I need a fix of yellow (my S is yellow) to cheer me up. We discussed the strange wear I was seeing on the fronts and what I felt the car was doing that I didn't like.
He had me sit in the car while they aligned it. I made sure that I drove it to the shop with exactly the stuff that would normally be in the car (trunk and interior) on canyon runs, right down to my purse strapped into the passenger seat (yes, female driver here). They gave me a bottle of cold water (it is a little toasty in the shop up there on the lift) and I settled in with my Android phone for a spell. Eventually some other customers came by and I struck up a conversation with one of them.
Results: the difference in the car even just driving it home from the shop was definitely significant. Where it had been grabbing at lines on the freeway and pulling a bit here and there in grooves, it was now a happy camper. Yes, because of the bad alignment I had (too much toe-in) I'll be looking at new front tires come the end of summer, but I can wipe these out and call it good. The car is so much more pleasant now!
Seriously, if you are *anywhere* in the Los Angeles area, THIS is the alignment shop you want to go to.

Just wanted to say I had nothing but great experiences for all my Hondas and Acuras with Jon Martin(Service Manager) at Power Honda in Costa Mesa,CA. Jon will take care of you so give them a call at Power Honda in Costa Mesa.
The other person I want to say I had a great experience is with Alex Doan at Ballade Motors. Both are good people to take your cars to.
