Anyone interest in a BBQ meet?
As the title says, Anyone interested in a BBQ meet? I was thinking around the middle or end of September. When I've planned these in the past we usually did them at Markham Park so we could get WPB/Miami/ Broward people there

I'd be all for it if my schedule is clear.
Not to rain on the parade though, but in recent years Markham has become a problem due to lazy & cheap new generation of owners not wanting to either drive 20 miles or pay the measly $2 entry fee, let alone bitching about food/drink costs ($2 per person last I knew).

I'd normally suggest something like Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach, but that's far as hell from Miami. Maybe Oleta in North Miami Beach?

That would be a good spot too. Im not familiar with too many parks in Miami except for Tropical park. We could do it there also

Ok. So I spoke with Ricky about this and looks like we will wait till it gets cooler out. I'm already planning a BBQ meet for the Florida Prelude group on November 20th at Markham and figured we could just make it a double event for both enthusiast groups. This would be the 4th annual Florida Prelude BBQ meet as well. Normally we would just grab a spot with a open grill and take it over for the day. I think we should try and get a pavilion incase of rain :tip wink:
