Bought another one
After enjoying my standardish S2000 for 16 months and 13000 miles (two 3000 mile euro trips dispatched), I saw this for sale and decided more power would be good.
I collected it from somewhere below London last Saturday and had a somewhat noisy journey home in the pouring rain which was interesting. Felt more relaxed as I got the right side of London heading home.
Needs a bit of tlc and the back end is somewhat lively so going to get the geo done soon. Most pressing issue is the gearbox sounds like a box of bolts which I knew about.
Belt slip at 8300rpm, need a slightly shorter belt. Not convinced the car is making that much power anymore either as I feel is should be a bit quicker. Either way a gearbox change is required before dyno time, just not sure whether to go TDI North or EFI parts as they both have OK reputations.

EFI parts gets my recommendation.
He done my Kraftwerks supercharged S. Very clear and concise explanations to any queries I had about the map.
Has a massive portfolio of cars he has worked on, from his own 900bhp Renault 5, to turbo charged 80s ford capris.
Plus he doesn't charge the earth either.
Get in contact with him to see what magic he can work

So I have ticked a few jobs off the list and it is looking a bit better now. New carpets, new roof catches, few other interior plastics replaced. Also fitted silver front indicator bulbs, cheap rear spoiler and a full machine polish.
Still need to swap the gearbox, had it on a ramp but couldn't get the box to drop down enough to get to the top bolt so gave it up. A few people have said it's possible without dropping the subframe but I can't see it.
Booked in at TDI North for a remap at beginning of December.
