Default Hard top

Hi, if I fit a hard top to a 2000 model year S2000 that has a plastic rear screen will I be able to connect the electrics for the heated rear screen? The car has never had a hard top fitted.

You will need to retrofit the wiring loom and any associated relays if required. Have a search on the forums - plenty of people have done this before

Thanks guys. I'm hoping to get the fixing kit with the hard top. I've figured out how and where it fits but not the electrics for the heated rear screen. I am trying to find out where it would connect to the loom, whether I will need an extra bit for the loom and whether there will be a connector already on the loom to connect to or if something would have to be manufactured?

I have had a look inside the plastic panels behind the seats and there is no connector. The only connector is at the bottom of the panel that runs down the rear of the door which appears to be the power for the hood.

I also understand that there will be a relay in the circuit but I don't know what relay and where it would go.

This hard top Honda S2000 hardtop with fitting kit nurburgring blue ap1 ap2 | eBay comes with fitting kit and a piece of wiring loom. Would this do the job?

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks for the link, I've read all the info and it looks quite complicated for someone who has never fiddled with a car's electrics! I suppose a relevant question is how necessary is it to have the demister powered up?

Mine has never been connected in 2 years if that helps, I just haven't had the time or reason really to connect it.

I wouldnt worry yourself too much about it if I'm honest.
