Default Space saver tyre...

Only that tonight I had to fit the damn thing for the first time ever...everything went fine except for the part when I tried undoing the bastard screw/plate that keeps the spare held down in place...I recommend you all check it can be undone by hand without taking the skin off your fingers...I had to tug the wheel up & down which obviously allowed enough play for it to come free. Off to get the tyre plugged tomorrow, what a swine in the rain....

Dreading that happening. I keep a mini compressor in boot just in case. Also have wifes wheelchair in boot so NO chance of carrying
punctured wheel as well.

Perhaps you should ask your wife / girlfriend/ boyfriend / husband for a handgrip exercises for Christmas: Hand Grip - PhysioRoom.com

This will turn your dainty little girl hands into man hands, problems like this will be a thing of the past.

Listen to Mike, he knows what he's talking about - he has an incredible grip, especially with his right hand, because he exercises it three or four times a day.

Mike only does 3 - 4 hand exercises a day?
I thought he was into double digits (Even more on weekends when he is at home...)

"Space Saver" - surely they mean Space Waster - The space the spare tyre occupies can be used for more useful stuff - like more luggage space.
There is no point taking it if you can't get the punctured tyre in the boot (or passenger seat).

Notice I have not joined in with the hand exercises. I am in an office and didn't think it was appropriate.
