Default Stupid newbie question!

I have had my Honda S2000 for just under a year and have only JUST noticed that some cars come with a "Honda" badge above the "S2000" on the wing (or fender as those across the pond like to call it). There appears to be no rhyme nor reason for having it or not having it across the model years - some do some don't (my MY2005 doesn't), so my question is - have those that haven't got it, been "debadged" or have those that do have it, had the "Honda" added?

I suspect the former, but was unable to answer when my more observant friend asked the same thing last night LOL.

The Honda badges are standard, but lots of people remove then as they look rubbish.

A search will reveal techniques involving a hair dryer and dental floss...

Thanks for confirming .

Thought as much, but as there seemed to be just as many cars without as with, I wasn't sure .

I sold my badges to a guy in the US as it's a novelty to have them there apparently.

It's amazing how some people take them off whilst others buy a car without them and then spend £50 each side to put them back on!

Default Honda who?

My car has the standard badges, but hardly anyone recognises it anyway. Most people guess that it's a Mazda, Beemer or whatever anyway. Perhaps black paint and wheels doesn't help, but I kind of like the anonymity. There's little upside to being memorable, particularly when driving in a spirited manner.
