Default Time to wrap the S up

With the dreaded winter upon us I have decided to park the S up for a few months, sadly I don't have access to a garage so I'm forced to opt for a car cover. I've had a browse around on the net and found some tack and some very pricey tailored stuff! Just wondering if anyone can recommend or point me in the right direction? Any advice will be appreciated, just trying to get some info before I take the plunge.

Thanks in advance
Dale

You may also want to think about dehumidifying as the interior can get a little damp if left under a cover.
Mine got damp last year in my garage! so this year I have a tray of rice (while I wait for santa to bring some specially designed product).

I reckon driving over winter could well be better for the car than sitting outside under a cover?

Good point there Minvo, shall be adding some uncle Ben's to mine to! I dont plan to neglect it but that's easier said than done whilst its undercover, just can't find a decent outdoor cover for under £100+?? Not having access to a garage sucks, did you have the rag top or hard top on during the storage?

HT always on over winter - don't bother with a cover, the cheap ones will move around and dust gets between cover and paint and scratches it.

Wash it, wax it, start it every week, move it around whatever - that's it until spring.

I just didn't fancy the salt attacking it that was my concern, I did plan on the odd drive to keep her happy. Just not sure what would of been my best option :/

It won't get salty if you don't drive it on the salted roads ....... if you're really that fussed, get it fully undersealed and regularly wash it. You can dry it with a leafblower

Luckily I am blessed with a HT, yeah I heard they are more trouble than they are worth with the cheap ones. Sounds like I'll be better off spending money on some more wax!

Undersealing is on the to do list she's ripe atm, that sounds a lovely drying method or at least more satisfying :P

Parker is shivering on the drive at the moment waiting for her new home to be built. Can't remember which cover she is under but I did get a few 1.5kg silica bean bags for the interior off eBay. Rice you can't eat but can dry out on the radiator for future use
