Well the word from the horses mouth is the only modification required is to the trim panel behind the seat - NO MODIFICATION TO THE CAR OR CAGE. So you can either leave the trim panel off or cut it around the cage pipes.

Thanks for researching this. I'm not keen on cutting into either really :| Could you ask if they would create one that fits 2006+ to order? It might be worth a question.

No worries. They won't be making a cage the fits without the trim mod. You can just install without the lower panel. This cant been seen when the seat is back.
