Default 17" 949 Racing 6UL wheels in production

We’re proud to announce the 17” line of low pressure cast, flow formed T6 heat treaded monoblock 949 Racing 6UL wheels. 6UL wheels are designed in the US, made in China by a Tier 1 automotive supplier with ISO/TS 16949 certification. The wheels are JWL approved and VIA certified.

S2000 fitments are 17x9 and 17x10
Our 17x9 is a +55 , 17.2 lbs. This offset is basically ¼” further out than a +63 wheel so you have additional room inboard up front, but lose a little room outboard. For some users with STR specific setups, this means rolling the fenders a bit and minor rubbing on the liners. Otherwise, it’s plug and play with 255/40/17 all around.

We also build a 17x9 +48 , 17.4 lbs for the 2006-2015 Mazda MX5 and many Japanese sedans. This offset on an S2000 tends to rub outboard a bit even with full race camber. More bump steer, rubbing and tire scrub so we generally don’t recommend it. We know the +48 looks cool but they will rub.

Our 17x10 +52, 17.8 lbs is a race fitment optimized for 255/40/17 square setups. This requires rolling fenders along with full race camber.

We will be uploading wheel templates to our website for folks to check their BBK’s against.

The 17x9 +55 clears all 298-325mm BBK’s except the Spoon
The 17x10 +52 clears those plus a few 355mm kits

We’re starting a production run this week that should be arriving here late October. We only really make what we have pre-orders for so “waiting until they’re in stock” doesn’t apply. No pre-order, no make wheels. If you want a set, order now 

Prices, finishes and ordering info on our dealers websites. For now, the only two dealers that will carry the S2000 specific wheels will be Jackson Racing .

Good sizes, just not the most flattering wheel design.

This photo is 17x9 +55 front, 17x10 +52 rear on stock fenders with 255/40's on Karla's car. Yes she swapped the GT fenders off for OEM for this pic

This the same 17x9 +55 with 255/40 front then photoshopped onto the rear of Wytt's car. Only had one sample wheel so had to make do.

Not really possible. The 17x10 +52 is optimized for a 255/40. Offset too low for 275/40 so they won't clear. Conversely, the discontinued 17x10 +72 was too high to fit 255's in front. We sold very few 17x10 +72's back in 2009 so we decided not to bring them back in this first production run. It is possible to use our current tooling to make a 17x10 +68 which could only be used for 275/40 on the back of an S2K. If you're interested, send us an email (not a forum post). If I get enough emails, we'll consider doing a run of +68's early 2016.

Not a service we offer, sorry. Powder coating voids the warranty and is not recommended. Choose charcoal if you plan to repaint them.
