I put Blizzaks on my daily Monday night.

With how terrible it now drives on dry roads, I wouldn't be entirely opposed to snow.

I don't know how you that live in the UWM do it. Its like Siberia up there in the winter. I'll take our 2-3 month mid-Atlantic winter anytime vs the frozen Minnesota tundra.

Headed to Chicago just in time for the bitter cold. :/ I have Friday off, and fly to Chicago on Saturday. Fortunately, I fly back on Sunday.

I went to confirm my reservation for my NYE plans, and the hotel jacked the rate. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough. I booked a different hotel, and it's cheaper than my original rate.

I have a plow service but they tend to miss right by the garage door and they don't plow the walkway to the front door. I actually don't mind plowing, but I'm not looking forward to driving in it. We are expecting a foot.

Ours isn't bad here, certainly not like Minnesota or the Dakotas, no way I could do that. We also don't get much snow, I'd say 1-2 feet over the entire winter if it's a heavy snow season.

Last year Mid A got pummeled by a winter storm, we don't get anything like that where I am.

In my youth I remember WI getting crazy snowfalls every winter. These last few years haven't been bad in terms of snow, but HOLY SHIT the cold. Last year it was below zero for like a week straight. The sheer mention of the 'polar vortex' (weather pattern that brings arctic air down our way) is enough to set any Wisconsinite quaking in their very big, fluffy boots (which all have pockets for beer and cheese curds. we're born wearing them up here).

Last week it was 45 degrees. Today it's going to be 25 with a wind chill of 5. Next wednesday is predicted to have a high of 8, meaning wind chill will be -15. :killme:

All of this.

Except replace beer & cheese in my boot pockets with more insulation.
