Few days ago you all read about the Honda S2000 CR that is being equipped with Acura’s 3.7 liter V6 engine. Today a new S2000 owner s5300ks made his introduction at S2KI community, with an even more interesting engine bay. Under the hood of his 2000 Honda S2000, a 5.3 liter V8 engine with heads from a 2007 Chevrolet SUV, is ready to produce 300 hp at 5200 rpms and excessive desirable torque!
“I plan on getting a few videos on youtube in the near future. It seems there is a lot of doubt on the net about this swap being completed and road worthy. It’s a whole lot of fun to me!”

It’s because the guy runs a machine shop and works in conjunction with a salvage yard. It was a cheap, readily available engine. The salvage yard had that S2000 with a blown motor, so he just got the car, and found a motor that was out in the yard and put em together.

As far as I remember that is a Tahoe V8 and the car uses the transmision out of a Camaro. Some things have been lost in the mod like A/C. Again as far as I remember, if I’m wrong I’m sorry.

Yeah, it’s “only” 60 more hp, but it’s also 150 more tq so I’m sure it tears up the pavement, and the rear diff no doubt, pretty good. Nevertheless, I agree that while a fun proof of concept, putting a heavier V8 into this car is going directly against the essence of the S2000.

60? Not a honda! Who cares… double up the F20C and you have 480? Where’s the additional 180? That’s why the s2000 is the s2000… 240 out of a 2.0L can touch that… LOLz

The driver back off just to give me a holler,

I smiled and revved as he pulled out of sight,
With my new mods tomorrow it will be a better night.
