Apex Blue S2000 CR Ready to Track in Supreme Style
We love any S2000 CR we come across, especially mint Apex Blue examples owned by obsessive folks.
Rare and Coveted
As most hardcore S2000 fans already know, the elusive Club Racer, produced only in 2008, is typically considered the most coveted of all. With just 699 produced, they're certainly hard to come by. And with a host of track-inspired upgrades, they're also pretty awesome in their own right. Especially when they look as good as this Apex Blue example that recently sold at Bring a Trailer.

Not Tracked?
Of those 699 Club Racers produced, 200 of them were painted this super attractive hue. But we're guessing that only a handful of them look as great as this one. Clearly, this car hasn't seen much, if any track action. Heck, it only has 62k miles on the clock as it is.

Clean Example
The seller purchased the car back in 2012, and has added a mere 25k miles since. But clearly, none of them were what you might call abusive. Today, the CR remains in excellent condition, with a clean Carfax and title.

Mostly Original
We can also appreciate that this particular CR remains in mostly original condition. The seller has added an Invidia N1 cat-back exhaust, but that's nothing major. Otherwise, the many original goodies remain, including the black factory hard top that all CRs came with.

Welcome Upgrade
Thankfully, the original exhaust was retained and included with the sale. New 215/45 front and 255/40 rear Dunlop Direzza tires also come with the car, and were installed a mere 1,000 miles ago, so they should have lots of life left in them.

Yellow Accents
On this inside, this CR sports the standard Alcantara upholstery accents, with lots of yellow stitching and inserts. Yellow accents also adorn the steering wheel, shifter gear pattern, shift boot, and unique-to-the-CR floor mats. This particular car is also equipped with air conditioning and the factory radio.

Well Maintained
No word on the car's maintenance history, other than a mention that it received a recent oil change right before the sale. But by the looks of things, we're guessing that this particular car has been well taken care of over its entire life on this planet.

Great Driver
With a final selling price of $32,600, this beautiful Club Racer seems like a good buy. Even though collectors would scoff at the mileage, those of us that like to drive our cars certainly won't mind. If nothing else, this particular car will make someone a great driver for many years to come.

Space Needed
Or, alternatively, they could just sit on it and probably make a profit in a year or two. Either way, it's hard to argue against making this purchase. But thankfully, at least this time, we managed to talk ourselves out of it. But if deals like this keep popping up, we might need to build a bigger garage.
