Easy Shortcut

There are always a wide variety of cool cars for sale in the S2Ki Marketplace, everything from bone stock low-mile rides to higher-mile projects and pretty much everything in between. That also includes track-ready rides, like this cool AP1 we spotted recently. If you're looking for an easy way to get out and do some racing without investing a bunch of time and money in your current ride, this certainly looks like the way to go.

Change In Priorities

The seller has owned and raced this particular car for the last six years, and over that time, has done quite a bit of work to the car. Anything he was unable to do himself was completed by Pure Tuning in Toledo, Ohio. The seller obviously loves his ride, even saying that he prefers it to his 997 on the track. But as we often see, it looks like other projects have taken a priority over this one.

Racking Up Miles

This S2000 has certainly been driven over that time period, with 158k miles on the clock. According to the seller, the miles he's put on the car have been pretty much all commuting to the track and then racing on it. Despite this, the original drivetrain remains in place and everything reportedly works beautifully.

Exterior Mods

As far as mods go, well, this car literally has an entire catalog of upgrades to name off. On the outside, that includes a Mugen-style hardtop, APR GTC-200 rear wing, a custom birch front splitter, and Wedsport SA72R wheels wrapped in Hankook RS4 tires, which are 255s at all four corners. There's also an RSG double diagonal roll bar in case things get a little too hairy on the track.

Going Under

Suspension upgrades are plentiful as well. They include Ohlins DFV shocks, an Eibach front sway bar, an Energy Suspension full urethane insert kit, Buddy Club front ball joints, and spherical end links. Underneath, you'll also find Megan engine and transmission mounts, Urge rear 2-piece rotors, and a Ballad Sports oil pan baffle, just to name a few.

Spare Parts

The engine has received a few upgrades in terms of performance and cooling as well. Things like a PLM header, Berk full exhaust and HFC, Mishimoto radiator, AP2 valve retainers, and a VAFC Neo professional tune. And if all of that isn't enough, the car also comes with a slew of spare parts including an entire AP1 transmission and all the stock brake components.

Ready to Go

Altogether, this S2000 seems like one heck of a fun weekend toy. And to us, that's pretty darn appealing. There are tons of folks here in the forums that work hard and spend a ton of dough making their cars track-ready. So why not take the easy road and bring this already-built AP1 home instead?
