Bump It Up

Like the old saying goes, there's no replacement for displacement. In all fairness, we've seen some smaller displacement engines produce some impressive power (see: Honda S2000), but you get the jest. Adding cubic inches is always a great way to coax more power out of any engine, and that was exactly the idea behind this GPW AP2, which is currently up for grabs right here in the S2Ki Marketplace.

Stroke Me

The seller originally purchased this AP2 with just over 69k miles on the clock, and added another 8k or so before dropping it off at InlinePro in Virginia for an infusion of cubic inches. They went to town stripping and rebuilding everything, then added an F24 crank, connecting rods, pistons, and a whole slew of goodies to go along with all the requisite machine work.

Tying It All Together

The seller later added on an Urge Designs Unicorn Header, PWJDM Carbon Kevlar Air Induction Kit, and Gernby exhaust, and everything was tied together with a custom tune from InlinePro. Since then, the car has been dyno'd at a handful of different places, with a best of 246 horsepower. There are plenty of underhood mods to gawk at as well, including a GPW valve cover, hood dampers, and a black aluminum oil filler cap, to name a few.

Racking Up Miles

During this process, the transmission received some attention as well. That included the addition of a new ACT pressure plate, OEM clutch disc, and OEM clutch release bearing. Since all this work was completed, the seller has added another 7,500 miles to the car, and has obviously spent a lot of time cruising canyons with it, understandably.

Interior Upgrades

The interior received a host of upgrades during this process as well. They include Clazzio Seat Covers with Tomcat fabric inserts, a CR Shift Knob, CR Radio Door Cover, CR Center Console Kit (glove box, switch cover, and shift boot), and an extra tall wind screen with the S2000 logo. A Modify DCI allows the driver to control the new Alpine stereo via the factory controls, and a series of aftermarket speakers promises to deliver quality tunes.

Stop and Go

Underneath, the seller has done some work as well. He's added Bilstein B16 shocks to the mix, along with a StopTech Big Brake Kit to slow it all down. The whole thing rolls on a set of Bright Silver Enkei PF01 wheels, which are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 215/45 up front and 245/40 in the rear.
