Dare to be Different

Virtually everything you can dream of has been done to the Honda S2000 over the years, all in an effort to stand out from the crowd. That can certainly be said about this carbon fiber-wrapped S2000 that hails from Indonesia, too. We recently came across this interesting build as it was featured on the enthusiast site Otomotifnet, and found ourselves diving in to take a closer look out of wild, morbid curiousity.

That's a Wrap

The owner of this S2000, who apparently goes by the mysterious alias "Mr. X," applied 25 meters (82 feet) of "carbon fiber material" to the exterior of his Honda. The car has also been fitted with an Amuse body kit, which we've covered in the past, and was designed as a collaboration between the aftermarket company and Gran Turismo game designers.

Adding Contrast

Unfortunately, we're only provided with two pictures of this wild machine, but it's worth discussing more in-depth. In addition to the body kit and carbon wrap, the S2000 is also fitted with a ginormous wing and some polished wheels, which is an interesting choice that adds some contrast to that synthetic-looking bodywork.

Real Carbon

While styling is of course subjective, we must say, we prefer the look of real carbon fiber panels on any car, including the S2000. We've seen plenty of examples of this in the past as quite a few folks have sought to build their own fully-carbon version of Honda's famous roadster.

Cool Factor

In fact, one could say that carbon fiber is more popular than ever, which is probably why people like Mr. X go to such great lengths to add its woven fiber look to their rides. But who can blame them? There's just something about the appearance, lightweight nature, and cool factor of carbon fiber parts on a car that make it somewhat irresistible.

Subjective Style

Does that mean someone should wrap their car in carbon to make it look like it's made from the lightweight material? Well, probably not. But that's the beautiful thing about this hobby of ours - we don't have to love or even like what other people do, only appreciate the fact that we have the freedom to make these choices in the first place.
