Playing the Temptress

At least once a week, we're tempted to empty our bank accounts to buy some awesome S2000 that we come across online. But rarely are we ever as tempted as we were when we spotted this insane Honda S2000 time attack monster over at BH Auctions. While there's no set date as to when this incredible racer is going to cross the block, that won't stop us from dreaming about parking it in our own garage.

Record Holder

This particular car has quite the racing history as well, having participated in events all over the world in the past ten or so years. It hails from Japan but has also traveled to Australia for the World Time Attack Challenge in 2012 and 2013. And at home, this car holds class lap records at Suzuka, Okayama Circuit, and Autopolis.

Far From Stock

Interestingly, this S2000 started out life as a stock car. Obviously, it's far from that now, and far from street legal. But that's pretty clear from the exterior, which features some of the wildest and most audacious aero you'll ever lay eyes on. Heck, those canards themselves are so big you could almost catch a tan laying on them.

Meat of the Build

The meat of this build, however, is its highly modified 2.3-liter F20C four-cylinder powerplant. With a massive GCG Garrett GTX3582R turbocharger feeding it insane levels of boost, the car pumps out a whopping 1,000 horsepower. A Holinger RD6S sequential transmission with a carbon twin-disc clutch handles all those ponies with no problem.

Purpose Built

Additional goodies include Endless brakes, Endless adjustable dampers, and Eibach springs, to name a few. Otherwise, you're pretty much looking at a stripped-out, dedicated racer built with a goal of cutting the fastest lap times possible, and little else. And obviously, it's pretty good at that.

Sinister but Effective

According to the listing, the front splitter, massive carbon fiber canards, flared arches, side skirts, giant rear wing, and diffuser package were all designed and refined in a wind tunnel to maximize their effectiveness. It just so happens that they also make the car look pretty sinister.

Pretty Smitten

This particular S2000 is apparently pretty famous on its home turf, and it's easy to see why. We found ourselves immediately smitten with it, and we think you will too. The only problem? Only one lucky person, presumably with deep pockets, will get to take it home.
