Another One

Low-mile S2000s seem to be growing on trees these days, a byproduct of exploding interest and, subsequently, prices. Regardless, it's truly amazing to see how many people have driven these cars so sparingly over the years, and now, we have yet another fine example to stare at - this Silverstone Metallic 2000 model, which recently crossed the virtual auction block over at Cars & Bids.

Immaculate Ride

This particular car has just 9,900 miles showing on its odometer and is in simply immaculate condition as a result. The car's Silverstone paint shines like new and is contrasted by a black soft top and red interior that are in equally nice shape. There are no accidents or mileage discrepancies to note either, which is rather important in today's pricey used S2000 world.

Few Mods

This particular S2000 isn't bone stock, however, which is a surprise given the low mileage. Modifications include front and rear spoilers, side strakes, and an aftermarket front sway bar - nothing offensive, and they certainly didn't stop interested parties from bidding on it.

Cozy Cabin

On the inside, the red leather upholstery and corresponding black trim are unmodified and in very nice condition, with amenities including the S2000's famous digital instrument cluster, cruise control, air conditioning, and CD changer providing a pleasant driving experience when you're not banging through the gears for fun.

High Revving Power

As is the case with all of its brethren, this S2000 is powered by Honda's F20C inline four-cylinder powerplant, which was originally rated to produce 237 horsepower and 153 pound-feet of torque, with a lofty redline of 9,000 rpm, which helped make this particular engine famous. That power flows to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip rear differential.

Won't Be the Last

There's certainly a lot to like here, even with the few modifications present, and this 2000 S2000 unsurprisingly generated a lot of interest at auction. When the dust settled, it hammered for a significant $40,000, which is a good result for a good car. Given what we've seen recently, it won't be the last low-mile S2000 to sell for big money at auction, however.
