Perfect Combo

It's not every day we see a Honda engine in a Lotus. But this hillclimb racing beast has unveiled the perfect formula. The combination of the small and lightweight Lotus Exige S2 and the capable K24 mill with a little boost from a supercharger creates one of the best Hillclimb packages we've ever seen.

Honda K24

The K24 engine has been used in a variety of different product applications, ranging from the Odyssey minivan to the Acura TSX. The power plant produces a maximum of 205 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque from the factory. But with the help of the blower, the tiny 4-cylinder can punch way above its weight class.

Bodykit to go with it

The widebody kit-built onto this Lotus was a project and a half in itself! The completion of the bodywork took a reported 5 years! And the stripped-down package has a crazy curb weight of only 800 kilograms (less than 1,800 lbs!) Which means this thing drives like a go-kart on steroids!

Weight Savings

In addition to the weight-saving measures in the body of this Exige, the significantly lighter 1.8-liter K24 motor also helps the car shed a few pounds. In comparison, the top-of-the-line Lotus Exige Cup 430 with the supercharged 3.6-liter V6 weighs over 600 lbs more with a 2,410-lb curb weight.

Natural Competitor

This badass Lotus may not have competed since 2016, but it can still put most Hillclimb competitors to shame. Not to mention, it's a hell of a lot of fun to toss around as well! Do yourself a favor and watch and listen to this monster Lotus zip around on the road right here on YouTube.
