Family Affair

Everyone has their own unique story as to how their love affair with the S2000 began. For S2Ki member Cpt. Spock, it all started when mom purchased one. That simple deed spawned quite the passion in the OP, and led him to build his very own version, a process he documented in this highly detailed and informative thread.

Oh What a Feeling

"My love for the S2000 started when my mom purchased an '03 Sebring Silver brand new from a local dealership," the OP recalled. "I was instantly hooked from then on and always told myself I would have one, one day. Flash forward to three years ago, when I made that dream a reality. I picked up an all-stock, 85k original mile 2000 Grand Prix White w/ a red interior. I waited around to get the color scheme I wanted and wasn't going to settle for anything else. I met up with the seller halfway in Chicago to make the purchase, probably the worst snow day of the year. A 6 hour drive home turned into 10, but man, did it feel good to park that thing in my garage for the first time."

Mods Begin

Of course, this car wasn't destined to stay stock for long. The OP already had an exhaust, suspension, and wheels line up for his dream ride. Along with an OEM spoiler for good measure. Those wheels were something truly special, however - a set of Wide Sports Wade Racing M7s, which aren't terribly easy to find.

Keep on Rolling

Next came an AP2 front bumper, then a 70mm Berk HFC, Password JDM kevlar bits, and a Spoon Sports radiator cap. And since the OP didn't want to mess up his beloved new wheels at the track, he soon picked up a second pair - some Forgestar F14s. Following a sway bar swap, he even got to take the S2000 out for its first autocross event.

Making Improvements

Over the years, the mods just kept rolling in. Many things the OP was changing after spending some time on the track and discovering weak areas that needed improvement. Next up on the docket - Jersey Red Recaro Pole Position seats, Ohlins coils with Swift springs, a Mugen Racing III steering wheel, and a set of Project Mu hc800 front pads.

Complete Transformation

Over the last few years, this S2000 has undergone quite the transformation, right before our eyes. In its most current iteration, the car has received a complete overhaul, with goodies including Depo taillights, a J's Racing 3D GT Type 1 wing, and a StopTech ST40 Big Brake Kit. Among a whole host of additional mods that's far too long to list here.

Continuous Improvement

This complete overhaul is well worth reading through in its entirety, which you can do by heading over here. And while we're loving the way this S2000 turned out, we're also convinced that it won't stay this way for long. After all, there's always something that can be improved upon, no?
